Museum Membership Opportunities

Our members support the Museum in many ways. They are a diverse group of people who share one common goal: to preserve the legacy of the Enfield, New Hampshire, Shaker community. Your membership support allows us to preserve the Shaker buildings we own, to work for the future protection of the remaining buildings on the site, and to provide engaging, educational programs and workshops to our visiting public.

In return, membership provides you with:

• unlimited free regular admission
• a discount on all Museum workshops
• a 10%* discount on purchases in the Shaker Store (the discount applies to all merchandise, except Shaker Workshops products)
• the Friends' Quarterly, our members newsletter [ Sample ]
• A vote in the Governance of the Museum at the Annual Meeting
• invitation to members-only special events
• advanced notice of all Museum events and activities
• most importantly, the knowledge that you are helping in our ongoing preservation effort
• Memberships of $250.00 or more receive a hand-crafted cherry oval box

A simple gift

You can make a "Simple Gift" to your friends and family and at the same time benefit the Enfield Shaker Museum in many ways, including the opportunity to receive a $25,000 cash award.

The Robert & Karen Finlay Foundation promises to give $25,000 to the top NH museum, public library and historical society that shows the greatest increase in membership from November 1, 2007 through October 31, 2008. The winning criteria recognize both the total number of new members and a percentage increase in membership.

Enfield Shaker Museum's Development Committee is committed to participating in this competition, and we ask you to help by either joining in the Museum (if you haven't already) or giving memberships to your friends and family. At the very least, you will help increase the Museum's membership, broaden awareness about the Museum and increase the Museum's base of support. The $25,000 cash award will also greatly benefit the Museum's operations.
